A Short Message Service Centre (SMS-C) is a network element in a Mobile Operator’s telephone network. Its purpose is to process Short Message Service (SMS) messages sent from the Operator’s subscribers to any phone number. For this, the SMS-C accepts, stores and delivers the SMS in PDU format via SS7 signalling. SMS-C and signalling via the SS7 network are not limited to Mobile Network Operators (MNOs), but rather to open technology.
An SMS-C is the beating heart of any SMS operation and its procurement, implementation and management, a business-critical operation.
Our offering
We will support you throughout the process needed to integrate your new SMS-C into your current messaging infrastructure.
We will manage classic SS7 (TDM), SIGTRAN (M3UA and M2PA), SMPP, REST and other types of connections towards your customers, interconnection partners and SCCP signalling carrier(s).
Once implementation is complete, we will run, interpret and report on SMS and HLR Lookup tests to ensure that your SMS-C is fully optimised and you make full use of the available benefits.
