An expert in wholesale voice and SMS messaging with over 20 years’ experience in the telecom industry, José served as VP of Sales & Carrier Relations at tyntec, one of the largest A2P SMS service providers globally. As Regional Manager at Verizon, he headed up a team responsible for international voice services in Europe. José previously managed operator relations in Central and Southern Europe for Netsize, a Gemalto company.

José holds a degree in business administration from the Wolfgang-Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main, Germany.

Mobile messaging evangelist Giovanni brings over 25 years’ telecom experience and over a decade of hands-on expertise in SMS and new messaging areas like Rich Communication Services (RCS). Previously Senior Director of Product Management for OpenMarket’s Global SMS services, he significantly grew the OpenMarket SMS business over his four-year tenure.

Before GTC and OpenMarket, Giovanni held various Product Management and Business Development positions in SMS, Voice and Unified Communication at different companies in Europe and the USA like Siemens and tyntec. Giovanni graduated from Bayreuth and Manchester University with a Masters in Physics.

Before joining GTC, James held leadership roles at Vonage, Telefonica, Vodafone and MEF, where he defined and implemented the messaging growth strategies. As a visionary leader, James believes GTC is uniquely positioned to empower businesses to thrive. With an academic foundation in civil engineering, Marilo discovered her true calling in the realm of recruitment during her tenure at Neokeen in Germany. What started as a focus on digital sectors, e-commerce, and technology startups has evolved into a multifaceted career encompassing various industries—from construction and healthcare to telecommunications and F&B. Currently based in the bustling hub of Dubai, Marilo excels at identifying the perfect match between candidates and roles, irrespective of the industry or job title. Her skills stretch from placing sales representatives in fast-paced startups to executive leadership roles in established firms, reflecting her remarkable range in HR capabilities. Marilo's knack for understanding organizational culture and needs enables her to fill even the most niche positions with precision. Her extensive network, cultivated over years of client and candidate engagement, ensures outcomes that exceed expectations. With close to two decades of experience in telecom, identity, and security, Guillaume is dedicated to driving digital innovation for businesses and telcos. He founded Oofty, which was later acquired by GTC, an advisory firm at the forefront of mobile identity, challenging the norms of the telco and CPaaS industries. Prior to his role at Oofty, he spearheaded product and data science teams at TeleSign and played a pivotal role in establishing the Proximus U.S. spin-off, serving tech giants like GAFAM and other major tech companies

Head of Technology

Michael previously served as Head of Technical Service at tyntec for over ten years. During this time, Michael restructured the support team by defining service delivery, processes and tools, allowing tyntec to scale customer support over time. He entered as a 24/7 technical agent and earned several promotions shortly afterwards. His career started as an IT System integration specialist at Siemens.

Before joining GTC, Hrach worked for tyntec, a global messaging provider, where he gained deep expertise in productising business messaging solutions and omnichannel messaging platforms. Being native Armenian, fluent in Russian, and having over ten years of experience working in CIS and Western Europe, Hrach developed a high affinity for the Telco market in CIS. Hrach graduated from Yerevan State University and holds a PhD degree in Economics.

Christian gained deep SMS operations expertise working as 2nd level Operations Manager and Service Manager at tyntec for over five years. His areas of expertise include SS7, SMPP, HLR, SMSC, MSC, fault analysis, customer support, single point of contact, 24/7 NOC, platform development and quality assurance. Christian graduated from Technical University in Dortmund and holds a Diploma in Computer Science.

Head of Finance and Sales Operations

A finance expert who worked in the telecommunication industry for ten years, Erika counts Telecommunications Billing, Fraud Management, Customer Service, and Business Development among her specialities. Besides a proven record in managing daily accounting operations, she is proficient in enforcing accounting policies and procedures and finding ways to improve them. Erika holds a Master‘s degree in Finance and Tax Law from Vilnius University (Lithuania).

Felipe Castillo

Felipe Castillo

Senior Consultant - Firewall Management Services

Felipe worked as an A2P specialist and was responsible for the local business at Telefónica Ecuador for more than two years. He has also worked as an A2P SMS consultant with other Telefónica MNOs in Latam (Argentina, Chile, México and Perú) and has developed reporting, processes and business advice for these MNOs.

With over six years of experience in the revenue assurance field, he also previously worked with voice but now focuses on A2P SMS. Felipe graduated from Universidad de las Fuerzas Armadas as an Electronics and Telecommunications Engineer.

Erik brings global experience and a 25+ year track record of leading the growth of major wholesale business segments in the telecommunication/service provider space (including Vodafone, COLT & France Telecom/Orange).

More recently, Erik was CEO & President of VSC. Based around Lago di Como in Italy, VSC provides strategic advisory services in M&A, Business Development & Media for the telecommunication industry. Erik has been a regular speaker & moderator at major international telecom conferences.

Mitch joins GTC after nine years at Telefonica, most recently developing A2P businesses across its Latin American footprint with focus on anti-fraud protections, RCS rollout and upcoming opportunities with CPaaS. He has become an active contributor to mobile trade body MEF (Mobile Ecosystem Forum) – sharing best practices for MNOs, collaborating on anti-fraud initiatives and ultimately elected to the Global Board by members in 2021. He holds a Masters in Applied Imagination in the Creative Industries from Central Saint Martins, University of the Arts London and BA from King’s College London in German, Portuguese & Brazilian studies.

Dario joins GTC as a Junior SMS Service Manager. He gained experience working with various customers, MNOs and messaging providers in his previous role at NTH mobile. Dario holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics, Robotics and Automation Engineering from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Computing Science and Information Technology in Osijek, Croatia.

Artūras joins GTC as a lawyer with more than 10 years of legal experience in various fields of law (EU, administrative law, contract, public procurement, innovation support, IP, data protection, etc.), Artūras has participated in diverse projects and assignments in private and public sectors. He has gained experience in drafting and managing contracts, drafting projects of national legislation, policies, procedures, providing legal opinions, representing at courts and other institutions, executing public procurement, managing and leading legal team, and ensuring legal compliance. Artūras holds a Master‘s degree in Commercial Law from Vilnius University (Lithuania).

Zohaib joins GTC as a Technical SMS Service Manager. He has experience working with many SMS aggregators and MNOs, mainly on the technical side, since joining the messaging industry in 2018. Being on the support side, he has developed excellent communication skills, an understanding of his customers, and efficiently resolving tasks promptly.

Jetmira joins GTC as a Technical SMS Service Manager. She started her career as a VoIP Engineer and then focused on the A2P SMS industry. During her time at Info-Telecom, she gained experience working with several customers, operators, and aggregators in a technical role and on the commercial side. Dealing with technical issues, rate negotiations, SMPP account configurations, HLR, MNP, prefixes, prices and routes, monitoring and ensuring quality were some of her everyday tasks. Jetmira holds a Master’s degree in Electronic Engineering from Polytechnic University of Tirana.

Since 2010, Ziad has worked for a number of businesses in the messaging industry. He has 13 years of expertise and a solid foundation in SMS technical support. He began as a NOC officer, eager to learn and put in a lot of effort. His primary responsibility at the time was to address and resolve clients' issues and maintain their satisfaction. Promoted to Team leader, then to NOC head. Mentor, advise, and guide employees on systems and messaging services.

Furthermore, his role as an A2P firewall engineer at VOX Solutions highlights his expertise in A2P messaging security.

Before joining GTC, he lead Telesign’s global data strategy and sourcing efforts. He has also successfully pivoted a start-up into a profitable CPaaS centric scale-up within three years and managed a portfolio of IoT, Data Analytics, Programmable Communications, and Customer Engagement solutions, offered through a digital marketplace.
